Overview
The chafing fuel 24 pack puts 24 cans of Gas One’s 6-hour wick fuel in one order. It is the same Gas One 6-hour chafing fuel we sell in 6- and 12-packs, in a quantity for buyers who need bulk chafing fuel: a wedding, a corporate event, a holiday banquet season or a busy catering calendar. With one can per fuel holder, 24 cans run twelve two-holder chafing dishes through one event.
Key features
- 24 cans of Gas One 6-hour wick chafing fuel
- Each can designed to run for 6 hours (Gas One)
- Diethylene glycol based liquid fuel with an inserted wick
- Resealable caps, so leftover fuel carries over to the next event
- Gas One applications: chafing dishes, room service, beverage urns, catering and large food setups
Where to use it
Weddings and receptions, corporate and conference catering, banquet halls, hotel buffets, holiday parties with long buffet lines, and caterers who prefer to keep a season’s supply on the shelf.
How to use
- Map the layout first: one can per fuel holder, with dishes spaced away from decor, linens and guest traffic.
- Assign one staff member to light and watch the line, and light only after water pans are filled and food is ready to go out.
- Light the wicks with a long match or long-reach lighter.
- Never refuel or move a lit dish, and keep a snuffer or the holder covers within reach.
- After service, put the flames out as the label directs, let the cans cool, cap partly used cans, and use older stock first next time.
Compatibility and cautions
Store a case of fuel sealed, in a cool, ventilated area away from heat, sparks and open flame, and out of reach of children; for large quantities, check your local fire code. Use the cans only in chafing dish and urn fuel holders and read the can label before use. Like all fuels we sell, this pack ships by ground only within the contiguous US (no AK, HI, PR, APO/FPO or P.O. boxes). See our shipping policy.
Choosing between pack sizes
For smaller events, the 6 hour chafing fuel 12 pack (Gas One CFD-6-12) or the 6-pack carry the same fuel. All options are in chafing fuel, and our chafing fuel guide covers setup and safety.

FAQ
Is the 24 pack a Gas One part number?
No. It is 24 cans of the same Gas One 6-hour chafing fuel we sell in 6- and 12-packs. Gas One's own pack sizes are 6 cans (CFD-6-6) and 12 cans (CFD-6-12).
How many chafing fuel cans do I need for a large buffet?
Count fuel holders, not guests: one can per holder for an event of up to about 6 hours. For example, ten chafing dishes with two holders each use 20 cans.
Can I return unused chafing fuel?
Not for a change of mind, because chafing fuel is a hazardous material. Damaged or incorrect shipments qualify if reported within 7 days with photos.
How should I store a large supply of chafing fuel?
Keep the cans sealed in a cool, dry, ventilated place away from heat, sparks and open flame, and out of reach of children. Check your local fire code for large quantities.
