Super Lube 12004 Air Tool Lubricant, 4 oz Bottle

Super Lube 12004 is the 4 oz bottle of Super Lube Air Tool Pneumatic Lubricant, an oil made for the special requirements of industrial, household and agricultural air tools. It blends rust and corrosion inhibitors into a special base fluid oil to reduce wear, and Super Lube states it absorbs water and eliminates ice buildup and frost inside air tools, a common cause of sluggish tools in humid or cold shops. Operation is rated down to -40°F (-40°C).

Where to use it

Air impact tools, drills, grinders, screwdrivers, sanders, paint sprayers, percussion tools and other oil-lubricated air tools, plus air line lubricators and air misting or dripping applicators. Because it is H1 registered, food and beverage plants can use the same tool oil near production lines.

How to use

1. Clean and dry the tool before treating it.
2. Apply the oil at the point your tool’s manual specifies, usually the air inlet, or fill the in-line lubricator.
3. Re-apply as necessary, following the tool maker’s oiling schedule.

Compatibility and cautions

Use it only in tools and lubricators designed for oil; oil-free tools and compressors should not be oiled. If air from the tool exhaust reaches parts that will be painted, keep oiling light so mist does not settle on them. Read the SDS before use; it is available on our technical documents page.

Choosing between Super Lube oils

12004 is the dedicated air tool oil. Super Lube lists it as a replacement for ISO 68 to 100 oils and SAE 80W gear oils. For general machinery, hinges and enclosed gears, the heavier ISO 100 Super Lube 51004 Multi-Purpose Synthetic Oil adds Syncolon (PTFE) particles. The clear ISO 68 Super Lube 52004 Synthetic Lightweight Oil shares the viscosity grade but is formulated as a general lightweight oil for compressors, vacuum pumps, spindles and instruments.
