Super Lube 31110 Multi-Purpose Synthetic Lubricant with Syncolon, 11 oz Aerosol

Super Lube 31110 Multi-Purpose Synthetic Lubricant with Syncolon® is spray grease. Its base is Super Lube’s NLGI 2 Multi-Purpose Synthetic Grease; a solvent temporarily thins it so the spray can penetrate hinges, chains, cables and latches you cannot reach with a tube. Once the solvent evaporates, a thin, non-drying film of grease stays on the part and keeps lubricating. Super Lube rates it from -45°F to 450°F (-43°C to 232°C), and it is NSF H1 registered (#125824).

Where to use it

Super Lube groups its uses by setting. Industrial: bearings, conveyors, chains, pumps, open gears, machines and food-processing equipment. Automotive: calipers, chassis, door hinges and locks, trunk latches, shocks and springs, battery protection and power antennas. Marine: snaps, zippers, winches, pulleys, rollers, prop shafts and sail tracks. Household: windows, locks, garage doors, lawn mowers, pool pumps, sewing machines and tools. Recreation: bicycles, fishing gear, RVs and fitness equipment.

How to use

1. Clean and dry the area to be treated.
2. Shake the can well.
3. Spray a light coat; attach the extension tube for pinpoint work inside hinges, lock cylinders or cable housings.
4. Give the solvent time to evaporate before returning the part to service, and re-apply as necessary.

Compatibility and cautions

Super Lube describes it as compatible with most other lubricants but publishes no plastic or rubber statement for the aerosol, so test on a hidden spot first. The SDS lists an extremely flammable aerosol in a pressurized container that may burst if heated; it causes skin irritation and may be fatal if swallowed and it enters the airways. Use with ventilation, away from flames and sparks. It carries a California Proposition 65 warning (see Prop 65 & Product Safety). Aerosols ship by ground only within the contiguous U.S. and cannot be returned for a change of mind.

Choosing between 31110 and other Super Lube products

For the same grease without solvent, use the 21030 3 oz tube or the 41150 grease cartridge. If you need a dry film that will not collect dust, pick 11016 Dri-Film; for rubber seals, the 91110 silicone spray; for rust prevention on stored metal, 83110 Metal Protectant.
