Overview

Super Lube 41150 is the shop and plant size of Super Lube Multi-Purpose Synthetic Grease with Syncolon®: a 14.1 oz cartridge for full-size grease guns. Plain part number 41150 is NLGI grade 2. Super Lube also sells softer grades under 41150/1, /0, /00 and /000, and a 41150/UV version with a UV tracer that shows where grease has been applied, so check the full part number when you reorder. This listing is the standard NLGI 2 grease.

Key features

  • NLGI 2; NLGI GC-LB certified for car and truck wheel bearings, chassis and U-joints in mild and severe duty
  • -45°F to 450°F (-43°C to 232°C); dropping point above 550°F (287°C)
  • Four-ball weld point 400 kg and Timken OK load 40 lb, per the data sheet
  • Water washout under 1%; wheel bearing leakage under 1.0 g (ASTM D1263)
  • NSF H1 (#096790), Kosher and Halal; no silicone

Where to use it

Grease fittings across a fleet or facility: plain, anti-friction, ball and roller bearings; generator, blower fan and electric fan motor bearings; conveyors, cams, slides and valves; hubs, axles, chassis points and fifth wheels; farm and garden equipment. H1 registration lets food and beverage plants run one grease on and near processing and packaging lines; see our food grade grease range.

How to use

  1. Load the cartridge into a grease gun that takes standard 14 oz cartridges.
  2. Purge the old grease if it is a different type, as Super Lube recommends.
  3. Wipe each fitting clean before pumping to avoid contamination.
  4. Fill bearings about 1/3 to 1/2 full; over-greasing causes heat. Monitor, set a regular interval, and periodically clean and repack.

Compatibility and cautions

Compatible with most other greases, according to Super Lube. Not for pure oxygen environments. Because it is silicone-free, it can be used in plants with paint spraying and finishing operations. Read the SDS before use.

Choosing between 41150 and 41160

Both hold 14.1 oz of the same NLGI 2 grease. 41150 is a cartridge for grease guns and zerk fittings; the 41160 canister is an open tub for hand packing bearings, brushing onto chains and slides, or loading a gun by hand. For a mini grease gun, use the 3 oz 21036 cartridge; for hand application in small amounts, the 21030 3 oz tube or the pocket-size ½ oz 21010 tube.
