DeoxIT D100L-2C 100% Contact Cleaner, 2 mL Squeeze Tube

DeoxIT D100L-2C is a compact 2 mL squeeze tube holding about 50 drops of 100% DeoxIT D100L. CAIG notes that OEMs use it in maintenance kits, and the same logic works for a field technician’s case, a glove box or a toolbox drawer. Each squeeze delivers a small drop of contact treatment that deoxidizes, lubricates and protects metal electrical contacts, with no solvent and no spray.

Where to use it

Use it where overspray would be a problem and you only need to treat a handful of contacts: a sticky switch, a corroded battery contact, or an intermittent plug or connector on audio/video, computer, automotive or marine equipment. It is a practical spare to keep with tools that travel.

How to use

1. Disconnect power and unplug the device.
2. Squeeze a small drop onto the metal contact.
3. Operate the part, give it a few minutes, then wipe off lifted oxidation with a lint-free swab.
4. Re-apply and remove the excess so only a thin film remains.
5. Wait two minutes before switching on.

Compatibility and cautions

CAIG’s compatibility ratings show the 100% formula is safe on most plastics. Acrylic and polystyrene rate Fair and TPE, rubber and varnish rate Poor, so test those first, and avoid porous materials. Choosing between D100L sizes

For regular bench work, the D100L-25C needle dispenser holds 25 mL, about 1,250 finer drops of 0.02 mL. The D100L-2DB brush bottle (7.4 mL) wipes larger surfaces, and the D100L-16BX mini-brush (1.6 mL) is the brush version for a kit.
