DeoxIT F100L-L25C is 25 mL of 100% DeoxIT Fader F100L in a needle dispenser: a solvent-free precision lubricant for clean conductive-plastic faders, slide pots and carbon-based controls. CAIG rates it at about 1,250 drops per bottle. It is non-flammable and leaves no overspray. It lubricates and protects sliding surfaces; it is not a deoxidizer or a metal contact cleaner.

Overview

DeoxIT F100L is the 100% concentrate of CAIG Laboratories’ Fader F-Series, and F100L-L25C packs 25 mL of it in a needle dispenser (CAIG’s data sheet and SDS list the same item as F100L-25C). Unlike the F5 spray, it contains no solvent, so it does not flush or dry off: each drop of light green lubricant goes exactly onto a fader track or potentiometer element and stays there, replenishing lubrication lost to wear and cleaning.

Key features

  • 100% DeoxIT Fader F100L; no solvents, no VOC, non-flammable
  • About 1,250 drops at 0.02 mL per drop (CAIG)
  • Concentrate viscosity 39.1 cSt at 40°C; dielectric strength 299 V/mil (ASTM D877), per CAIG Quick Specs
  • Rated -15°F to 302°F (-26°C to 150°C); NSN 6850-01-477-1566

Where to use it

Studio and live-sound faders, slide potentiometers, carbon-based controls, switches with sliding parts, and conductive membranes such as mouse pads. It also suits sliding metal-to-plastic surfaces, and CAIG pitches the F-Series to OEMs for production work.

How to use

  1. Turn off and unplug the device.
  2. Start with a clean track: CAIG says to pre-clean dust, dirt or spills with an air duster or DeoxIT F5 spray, and to pre-treat any oxidized metal parts with DeoxIT D5.
  3. Apply a small drop onto the plastic surface.
  4. Operate the control to spread it, wait a few seconds and add another small amount.
  5. Wait two minutes before powering up.

Compatibility and cautions

CAIG rates 100% F100L Excellent on ABS, nylon, polycarbonate, HDPE and PVC, Good on LDPE, acrylic and polystyrene, and Fair on TPE, rubber and varnish, so test those first. Do not use it on metal contacts or connectors; CAIG directs those to DeoxIT D-Series or Gold. The liquid is non-flammable, and the SDS lists eye irritation (H320) as its hazard. SDS: technical documents.

Choosing between F100L, F5 and FaderGrease

  • DeoxIT F5 FaderLube spray: a 5% solution with flushing action for dirty controls; flammable aerosol.
  • F100L-L25C: full-strength, drop-by-drop lubrication for controls that are already clean.
  • DeoxIT FaderGrease DFG-213-8G: a damping grease for heavier, more tactile movement.
  • DeoxIT D5: for oxidized metal contacts, which Fader products do not treat.

Our DeoxIT F-Series guide explains D5 vs F5 vs F100L, and all options are on the contact cleaners and fader lubes page.

FAQ

DeoxIT F5 or F100L: which should I buy?

F5 is a 5% spray that flushes contamination out of dirty controls; F100L is the 100% liquid for precise lubrication of controls that are already clean. CAIG's directions use F5 for pre-cleaning when a control is dirty.

Can I use F100L on metal contacts?

No. CAIG states DeoxIT Fader is not for metal contacts or connectors; use DeoxIT D-Series, such as the D100L-25C, or DeoxIT Gold.

Is DeoxIT Fader a deoxidizer?

No. CAIG's F-Series information sheet says DeoxIT Fader is not a deoxidizer; it lubricates and protects conductive-plastic surfaces.

How long does a 25 mL bottle last?

CAIG rates it at about 1,250 drops of 0.02 mL each.
