Overview
DeoxIT D100L is the 100% concentrate behind every DeoxIT D-Series product, and D100L-25C is its 25 mL precision needle dispenser, the largest D100L applicator we carry. Where the D5 and DN5 sprays dilute DeoxIT to 5% in solvent, D100L-25C applies the undiluted liquid one drop at a time. It deoxidizes, lubricates and protects metal electrical contacts that are in service or visibly oxidized, without overspray on nearby parts.
Key features
- 100% DeoxIT D100L: no solvents, no flushing action, 0% VOC, non-flammable
- Approximately 20% chemical deoxidizing action, per CAIG
- About 1,250 drops at 0.02 mL per drop (CAIG)
- Concentrate viscosity 30.9 cSt at 40°C and dielectric strength 341 V/mil (ASTM D877), per CAIG Quick Specs
- Rated -29°F to 400°F (-34°C to 200°C); NSN 6850-01-412-5866
Where to use it
CAIG describes the needle dispenser as pin-point application for contacts and connectors that are easy to reach. Good targets include connector pins, switch contacts, plugs and sockets, battery and charger contacts, and audio/video, computer, marine and automotive connections.
How to use
- Turn off and unplug the device.
- Place a small drop on the metal contact surface.
- Operate the part to help break up oxides, wait a few minutes, then wipe with a clean lint-free swab to remove lifted oxidation.
- Apply again and wipe off the excess; CAIG says DeoxIT works best as a thin coating.
- Wait two minutes before turning the equipment on.
Compatibility and cautions
CAIG rates 100% D100L Excellent on ABS, nylon, polycarbonate, PVC, PTFE and phenolic, Good on HDPE and LDPE, Fair on acrylic (PMMA) and polystyrene, and Poor on TPE, rubber and varnish. Stressed acrylic, ABS or polycarbonate may craze, and no liquid should go on porous materials such as wood, cloth or rubber. The SDS lists one hazard, eye irritation (H320); keep it away from children and wash after handling. Read the SDS before use.

FAQ
What is the difference between DeoxIT D100L and D5?
D100L is 100% DeoxIT with no solvent, so it has no flushing action, no VOC and is non-flammable. D5 is a 5% solution of the same D100L in a flammable solvent spray that flushes contaminants away.
How do I know if a DeoxIT product is 5% or 100%?
CAIG's part numbers show it: a 5 after the series letter marks a 5% spray (D5S-6, DN5S-6N, G5S-6, F5S-H6) and 100 marks the 100% concentrate (D100L-25C, F100L-L25C).
How many applications are in the 25 mL D100L-25C?
CAIG rates it at about 1,250 drops of 0.02 mL each.
Is DeoxIT D100L flammable?
No. CAIG's SDS describes the 100% solution as non-volatile and non-flammable; the hazard it lists is eye irritation.
